Know The Importance of Scanning For (DTC’s)
Every vehicle built since 1996 includes a computer system that is connected to sensors throughout the vehicle. These sensors can determine when something is “wrong” and trigger a diagnostic trouble code. Diagnostic trouble codes, seen with special diagnostic tools, help the repair process along indicating where damage is to the vehicle; something especially important when much of the damage is not actually visible. Scans are still seen (by insurance companies) as something that is not entirely necessary. We believe that to repair your vehicle correctly, they are entirely necessary.
